What it does
Every medicine sold from a named lot
Stock is held by batch and expiry. Sales and dispensing take the first-expiring lot (FEFO), expired stock is never sold, and a quarantined lot is held until it is released.
Patients, prescribers and prescriptions
Capture a prescription, then have a pharmacist verify it against the prescriber before anything is dispensed. Unverified prescriptions cannot be dispensed.
Dispensing checked by a second person
Prepare, check and hand over, with the check made by a different pharmacist where your pharmacy requires it. Print dispensing labels as you go.
Controlled-medicines register
Every movement of a controlled medicine is written to the register with its running balance and witness, so an inspection is a printout, not a hunt.
Medical aid at the counter
